Another wonderful book from Victoria, I have read them all and Victoria surprises me with every new book she writes. Victoria has a gift of love from her soul. That captures you from the first page. Another amazing story, with a wonderful secret hidden away. Not only learning about a beautiful garden, but the village people who are brought together, to share more than gardening. I am still thinking about them all.
I love how Victoria Connelly comes up with such intriguing stories usually pulling lives together through gardening. This was one of her best and I hope to see a continuation. After being with these phenomenal characters...I want to see where they go from here. The surprise close to the end of the story was fantastic, Victoria🤫
I had no idea what a story like this was going to produce- I definitely expected a great story, as usual, from this author, but I didn't expect to find such darkness and a mentally deranged brother character in the form of Tobias!!!!! Loved all the other characters in the story and how two stories, from last and present, intertwined beautifully to make this a definite page-turner!!! Twists and turns galore!!!! GREAT STORY! If you are a follower of Victoria Connelly, as I am, you will relish and devour the unexpected intrigue of this story!!!!!!!
Another lovely story in a beautiful English garden. This one tells the tales of two heroines 30 years apart in the same garden. I enjoyed the book very much but was left with some unanswered questions about what happened to a certain character who just "ranished."
Reading a Victoria Connelly novel is like taking a vacation in England! I especially enjoy her descriptions of English gardens and the countryside. Her characters are well-developed and you feel a part of their lives. She has quickly become one of my very favorite authors. The Heart of the Garden is wonderful book....and I'm now going to read all of her previously published books. I highly recommend The Heart of the Garden.
A fascinating tale based in a big house and garden where various generations of a family live in seclusion. The story moves back and forward to and from the present with intriguing events which keep the reader guessing. A good read by an accomplished author
Yes, this is a love story. In fact, it's several. A tale of several lonely people getting together, working together as a team, developing relationships, and making a lonely house and garden a happier place.
The setting was beautiful. The writing was just okay. Moved very slowly, the storyline was predictable.
